I’ve been working as a therapist in California for over twenty years, treating adults and couples struggling with a wide range of difficulties and diagnoses
I received my clinical training from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (Clinical Art Therapy), after completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from Occidental College in Los Angeles.
I have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California since 2002, and I have worked in schools, residential treatment, in crisis counseling, and also as a Clinical Supervisor and Program Manager. At Hathaway-Sycamores, one of the largest agencies serving children and families in Southern California, I ran the Day School Program, overseeing 45 young clients ages 9-21 and supervising eight clinicians.
I am also a working artist and cartoonist, and my comics have appeared in numerous Chicken Soup for the Soul books, the Therapist magazine, and in books and newspapers internationally.
